Find wiper blades specifically for your car:

Wiper blade attachments

Windshield wiper blades are attached to the wiper arm using various mounting systems, which differ by car manufacturer, model, and year. The classic "Hook" was the standard until 1999, but many brands now use proprietary systems to improve aerodynamics and design, making selection more complex.

Today, there are two solutions: vehicle-specific wiper sets for optimal performance or universal adapters that fit multiple models. Specific sets ensure the best fit, while universal wipers offer easy installation.

How to Identify Your Wiper Blade Attachment Type

Wiper blades are critical for driving safety. Choosing the right one starts with identifying the correct attachment type, as each vehicle uses a specific wiper arm system.

    • 🔍 Visual Inspection
      • → Carefully lift the wiper arm and examine the mechanism.

      • → Check the connection between the blade and arm—usually a clip, hook, or button.

→ Take a photo for reference.

      • → Compare with known attachment types.

    • 📖 Check the Manual

Your vehicle’s manual (wiper section) often specifies the attachment type.
